Silverware

The inspiration behind my work comes from a love of nature and natural forms, flowing, spiralling decoration being a current theme of my designs.

In the process of translating from my original drawing to the finished piece of silverware I draw on the influences I have gained from working on fine pieces made by generations of silversmiths.

Every part of my work is hand made, using traditional techniques, unchanged for many hundreds of years, from hand raising chasing and repouse to the decorative wires and fluting and swirling patterns.

I derive huge amount of pleasure in seeing the forms take shape from the flat sheet and with the use of the hammer, leaving its imprint, as a sign of the quality of handmade Silverware.

Commissions are welcomed for my one off pieces; from the purely decorative to the functional.

If you are interested in commisioning some work, I will work with you to establish your exact requirements.  The next stage is for me to enterpret these into a design - with every opportunity for your input at this stage.

The aim being the crafting of a piece that is both a joy to make and to own.
